COURAGE:

Cultivating
Opportunities to
Uniquely
Rally
Adolescents to
Give and
Engage

The title may be cheesy – we let our mom make it up – but the premise is good!
Kids need creative ways to volunteer!

We are three brothers, who with the help of our parents, are forming a non-profit organization that organizes volunteering and career exploration opportunities for kid in our community.

Although we hope to be one in the future, we are not yet a 501(c)3 organization. That will take some time, education and money – a good learning experience for us! Rest assured, 501(c)3 status or not, we promise that all donated money or goods will go to the specified charities!

Our Beliefs

Volunteering helps others while helping ourselves too.

Volunteering can help counteract stress, anger, anxiety, and give you a sense of purpose. It’s fairly easy to get behind volunteering when it is easy and things are going good in our life. It is harder to think to give to others when we have losses/changes in our own lives. This has become very evident during the pandemic. We kids struggle with having the privilege of going to school, seeing our friends/family, and being involved in extracurricular activities being halted.

During these times, it takes more effort for kids to look outward, instead of inward – it takes COURAGE to volunteer!

We ask you to join us in our mission to promote volunteering, especially amongst kids. Join the 3 Harris Brother’s COURAGE Club!

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”

AESOP

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others?”

Lots of Options for Getting Involved!

Volunteer

We believe there are still unique and meaningful ways for all of us to give back and engage with the world, even during times of separation. We are focusing most of our efforts on finding unique opportunities in our community for volunteerism, especially stuff pertinent to kids. If you see a project listed and want to participate, do it! You can volunteer for as little or as many projects as you want. Everything makes a difference!

Please see our projects below or on our volunteer projects tab.

Your monetary gifts will be directed to the volunteer projects. You can make a difference today by signing up & donating here or contact us if you’d like to donate with a check.

Advise

You can get involved today by becoming a career adviser. We are working to build a local directory for adolescent career exploration, since in-person career shadowing experiences have been temporarily halted. Sign up and join this career adviser group that is willing to talk/email with kids who are interested in exploring a variety of vocations.

Become a volunteer career advisor by submitting this form to have your information added to our career database available to kids.
